1.  What types of specialists can I sub-contract through BenchOn?

Whatever you need, we will find them for you - for free! We have all types of companies with engineers, project managers, logisticians, IT developers, business consultants, change managers, underwater welder, architects, research scientists, cyber security specialists, just to name a few which are available right now! If you need a professional to support your current contract, simply enter the contract requirement and you will be matched to available companies that fit your criteria. If we don't have them on the platform, our team will find them for you at no cost.

2.  Is this a recruitment platform?

No. Our platform is purely business to business (B2B) sub-contracting. Once you are happy to proceed with the matched company, you will sub-contract the company directly using your current processes. That means that each professional that is provided remains an employee of their parent company. That's good news for you as you don't have to worry about employee agreements, pay, super, insurances etc that come with a new employee. You are simply sub-contracting another company to provide you their specialist for the contract period. Not only that but you get a higher quality of support because each matched professional brings with them the reputation, training, mentoring and processes of their parent company. Our clients only put forward the best professionals as they are representing their brand.

3.  Who can use BenchOn?

If you are a registered business that has a need, then BenchOn is for you no matter the size. Its important to remember that as a B2B platform, we do not deal with job seekers or freelancers so you will need an ABN, business name and a website to pass our company vetting process. 

4. I've uploaded my employee profiles. What now?

Great! Now that you have your employees listed, you are set up for success. Our system will notify you when your employees have been matched to a contract requirement. Make sure you keep your employee availability up to date so you don't miss out on any opportunities. Good luck!

5. I have an urgent contract requirement. What do I do?

From the dashboard, simply fill out the job form and submit and BenchOn will do all of the heavy lifting in sourcing and filtering the available companies. Our current average turn-around time is 24hrs from receiving the request. You can also manage your current contracts from the dashboard in case you need to edit the requirement or cancel the job all together.

6.  How much does it cost? 

Our goal is to create a win/win solution for all of our clients so we designed the commercial model to be just that. Firstly, it is completely free to sign-up and start using the platform - there are no subscriptions or on-going costs. Secondly, it is completely free to source your suppliers. Our contract is with the Providing Company at a low rate of 10% of the invoiced cost. However, its important to us that we support small business growth so we are only paid after the Providing Company has been paid so there are no upfront costs.

7. We haven't done sub-contracting before. What do we need to be able to sub-contract our staff?

If your business is new to sub-contracting, it can seem like a complicated process to set your business up for success. That is why we have partnered with Akyra, an HR specialist firm, to provide our clients with the support they need to ensure they are compliant with the regulations. We chose Akyra because they have the same passion for supporting small business growth as we do. Akyra are offering BenchOn clients a free HR health check to demystify the process and help you get on your way to success using BenchOn.

8. Once I have posted my contract requirement, do I just scroll through companies until I find one that I like?

We are not a jobs posting board where you scroll through jobs or candidates. We believe your proprietary information should be protected so we developed our 'Gated System' so you don't need to advertise to your competitors what you are doing! The Gated System consists of two gates: the Conflict of Interest gate and the Suitability Assessment gate. The Conflict of Interest gate allows you to reject matches to your competitors before they even know if they have been matched to you. The Suitability Assessment gate is when both parties have agreed to the match and the full information is released to all parties. Once both parties are happy to proceed, the client will sub-contract the Providing Company directly.

9. Do we need two accounts if we have idle staff as well as sub-contract requirements?

No just the one. We realise that with the peaks and troughs of the business cycle as well as the uncertain nature of contracting, your needs can fluctuate daily. That is why we designed our platform so that you can manage both easily from your dashboard.
